Contest Entry Rules and Information

Chaska River City Days
The Chaska Got Talent and Variety Contest is open to
ALL AMATEUR entertainers.Professional entertainers (including union musicians or those whose talent is a principalsource of income) are not permitted to enter.There will be three (3) divisions:
Pre-Teen: Ages 12 & Under
Teen: Age 13 to 18
Open: Any Age Note: Accompanists, when not part of the act, may be any age.
When registering for a division, consider the following:
1. Check appropriate division for age group. If this division is filled at time of registration, we will place according to what is available.
2. If you are registering for more than one division, consideration will be dependent upon the number of entries received (we would like as many as possible to have an opportunity to perform). If there are open slots in a division, 2nd entries will be considered in the order received.
Acts must be SELF-CONTAINED. A sound system with microphones will be available. However there will be no instrument amplifiers: therefore, you must bring them if you need them. Tapes or CD's may be used as accompaniment for acts. All acts in contest must be family orientated. Performance will be held on a stage.
All acts are limited to approximately 4 minutes.Prizes (TBD) will be awarded to the winners in all division.
ENTRIES MUST BE RECEIVED BY July 23, 2012.
Entries will be received on a first-come first-serve basis with consideration for variety in the total program. All acts perform on Sunday, July 29, 2012 at the City Square Park- on the main stage under the tent on Walnut St. Chaska Contest to follow RCD Parade at 2:00 pmENTRY DEADLINE: July 23, 2012.
