U-Can-Tan and It-Can-Hide
Finding the medallion will win a prize
$100 dollars in River City Days Bucks
Visiting sponsors may bring you luck

Ask Linda, Tonia, Wally and Tommy
Why these days are so very balmy
Look High and low and in between
Remember to bring those Needful Things

Do you know? Which sponsor is on the back of the medallion?

Note:  No clues will be posted on Sunday.  Clues will resume on Monday.

CLUE 2

So you didn’t find me

I must Cy

Did you look way to high?

Farms and Gardens you see along the way

On this Just Perfect hunting day

There is old and there is new

I lay between the two

Blackeyed Susans, Salvia and sage

Are all things you see along the way

I am not too far from the falls

But far away from the bats and balls

Do you know? This area is considered the Gateway to Chaska?

Clue 3

Just look at my Body Expressions dear

As you are eating Pizza here

You will get the High Score

If you find me by this core

It would Break my Heart

And Vitas too

If you don’t find me with this clue

A rhythmic thump is what I hear

At Saoris and where I sit so near

Don’t pull your Hair Studio out yet

Cuzzy’s the prize is the best

Do you know? There are new businesses in this area that has been first populated in the mid to late 50’s

Clue 4

Watching your Wellness

As you walk around

Going to the East of town

Is where I can be found

I am in the shade

As the days are still rather warm

Look for pillars three

A bottle will point the way

Remember to pick up garbage

All along the trail

When you find the medallion

You will have a tale to tell

Do you know? This area is part of the flood control designed to keep Chaska safe.

Clue 5

I was found low to the ground

On the East end of town

Past where the flowers grow and

Around those that would know

What set this hunt off

Was a letter in the Herald

From a guy named John

Stating ideas for a trail

There is an Old Audobon

And there is a new

The bridge on Old 212

Sits between the two

Our trails are a fine piece of town

It goes through where history was bound

You can get from Heartbreakers to Cy’s

By walking or biking the trails so fine

The Audobon area is considered

the Gateway to town

The homes in the area, Parrallel and State

As well as those along Stoughton are great (developed around the 1950’s)

The oldest of town is where many Sponsors reside

So next year when the clues come out

Keep picking up trash and give us a shout.

The Medallion was found under the bridge on the Old Audobon side of the East end of town, it was across from the third pillar, sitting behind a rock that is the same colors as the Chaska Brick

Keep watching your town, read the paper, attend the meetings and you will see, just how much fun the hunt can be

THANK YOU TO OUR FINE SPONSORS WHO KEEP THE HUNT GOING

A special Thank you to Wagner Press and Graphic for creating our coupons and doing much more to help keep River City Days going.

REMEMBER IT IS NOT THE FINDING, IT IS IN THE JOY OF THE HUNT!

FROM THE DESK OF THE EVENT COORDINATOR:

What is planned for next year????  In addition to the Medallion Hunt we are also planning a "Geo-Cache" event.  My goal is to continue to enhance Chaska River City Days with events for young and old and families to enjoy in the days preceeding the week-end of activities. You know by announcing this...it commits me to one more event to do...as if I have nothing else to do!
Join us this week-end for a fun filled event.  Lots of entertainment and please support our non-profit service food vendor organizations.  To many this is their BIG event to fund their special projects.
Thank you!
Sincerely,
Dr. Tim Sebenaler, Chaska RCD Event Coordinator
